Hopefully these three tips will help you next time you plan on mobilizing knowledge about food waste!
Maggie Bain and Chloe Alexander are both graduate students studying food waste. They have taken UNIV 6050 (Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Agri-Food Systems), which is class where students gain skills in the effective communication of scientific knowledge in the Agri-Food System.
Chloe is a PhD candidate in the department of Geography, Environment and Geomatics and her research examines policy development on the issue of food waste in Canada, particularly focusing on the industrial, commercial, and institutional (IC&I) sector of Canada’s agri-food system. Maggie Bain is studying for an M.A. in Geography and her research is focused on developing behaviour change interventions to help consumers reduce food waste in their households and shifting consumer behaviour towards circular food system practices.
