Jac Carson
Project Outreach and Communications Coordinator
Jac Carson supports research-driven initiatives through clear, thoughtful, and accessible communication as the Project Outreach and Communications Coordinator at the Arrell Food Institute. She is a communications professional, writer, and creative with a strong foundation in storytelling, working closely across programs and communications teams to support knowledge mobilization and engagement.
Jac completed her Bachelor of Arts in English at Brock University in 2018 and has since earned a Certificate in Writing for Publication from Mohawk College. She has continued to strengthen her practice through professional development, including Editing for Conscious and Inclusive Language with Capstone Editing and a Writing for Impact certificate through LinkedIn Learning. Working within a higher education and training environment, she values lifelong learning and the role accessible communication plays in supporting research, education, and impact.
In addition to her communications work, Jac supports photography and visual storytelling for Arrell Food Institute events and initiatives. Her background includes previous roles in banking and photography, bringing a detail-oriented and creative lens to her work. She believes storytelling across visual, written, and embodied forms, fosters connection, empathy, and positive change.
