An internationally recognized and award-winning academic, Lysa Porth is the Dean of the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics at the University of Guelph.

Dr. Porth holds a PhD in Actuarial Science as well as an MBA from the University of Manitoba’s Asper School of Business. Before joining the University of Guelph and the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics, dean Porth held the Guy Carpenter Research Chair in Agricultural Risk Management and Insurance and served as the Director of the Warren Centre for Actuarial Studies and Research. She is currently adjunct Professor in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science, University of Waterloo.
