Research Interests and Future Goals
M Manjurul holds MSc. in Climate Change and Development and Master in Development Studies and. His goal is to conduct research that informs policy on climate resilient agriculture in areas most affected by climate change and agricultural production to help those most food insecure. He worked as a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) lead of Climate Change and Sustainable Development program in HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation in Bangladesh.
M Manjurul is completing his PhD with Dr. Evan Fraser in the Department of Geography, Environment and Geomatics. As climate change significantly threatens agricultural productivity and food security in Bangladesh’s coastal regions, M Manjurul will be working on climate-smart food systems which may assist vulnerable coastal people in Bangladesh and other nations to adapt to climate change’s effects, better their livelihoods, and realize food security.
