Sweni joined the Arrell Food Institute shortly after its inception in 2017 and her prior roles were within the financial sector. Her professional interests have an interdisciplinary focus. A meaningful aspect of her day-to-day purpose are the interactions with various individuals while managing the administration for the Office of the Director.

Sweni holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Master of Science in International Studies. Her passions include involving herself with youth education development programs and she is an outdoors enthusiast.
