Nina’s experience in financial management includes 17 years working in statistical analysis for a provincial agricultural commodity board, 11 years doing finances for an art gallery, and has been with AFI since early 2019. She is committed to supporting accurate and transparent processes in operational and financial management and enjoys the close working relationships with her University of Guelph campus colleagues.
Nina has a BA in Linguistics from the University of Ottawa, a BComm in Finance from the University of Windsor and became a proud Gryphon after graduating with an MBA in Sustainable Commerce from the University of Guelph.
Nina dabbles in creating stained glass art, is happiest with a book in her hands, and enjoys her continued connection to the students she mentored during a Leave for Change volunteer assignment in Hanoi, Vietnam through WUSC-CECI/Uniterra. She is proud and excited to work with a team of staff and faculty whose commitment to a comprehensive vision on which the pillars of food safety, food security, and sustainability for agricultural systems are based.
