Adya is a PhD student at the University of Guelph, specializing in water resource engineering with a focus on applying artificial intelligence (AI) to address global challenges. Her research intersects food sustainability, climate change, and water availability, emphasizing AI-driven solutions for predicting and managing extreme events to advance sustainable resource management.
Beyond academia, Adya actively promotes awareness and collaboration on sustainability and resilience as a science communicator for research @ CEPS and a student ambassador for the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair and Women in Engineering. She has represented the University of Guelph in the CARE Sustainability in a Changing Climate Case Competition and serves as a graduate student member on the GenEq Advisory Committee.
